In November 2006 Louis set up his own Marketing Consultancy and practice pursuing a venture offering marketing consultancy, advice, implementation and business development to organisations in diverse sectors.
Louis holds an Honours Degree in Business Management from the University of Malta. He supplemented this with Diplomas and Certificates awarded after following various courses related to his career.
Louis is a Chartered Marketer, a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing and other professional bodies including The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and The Malta Institute of Management.
Whist reading for his honours degree in Business Management and started studying Marketing, Louis got the vision and a strong intuition, that this was in fact a paving of his career path. Following that, he specialised in Marketing by having practiced the profession in Malta since 1988.
During his career he performed various Marketing and corporate roles in the course of his progressive capacities, starting as export marketing executive with the Malta Export Trade Corporation (now part of Malta Enterprise) In 1990, he made a lateral move to join the Wine, Spirit and Beverage arm of the Farsons group and progressing to brand manager. In 1995, he was appointed as marketing manager of the company. In 2003 he took on the post operations manager with Vadala Co. Ltd. representing, amongst others, Unilever food products and to which he also set up a marketing department and developed it.
He attends and delivers presentations at a number of conferences, seminars, workshops and events on various marketing themes both in Malta and abroad. He is familiar with fairs and exhibitions held both locally and internationally through his involvements related to the various business sectors.
Louis is concurrently taking various initiatives in contributing to developing the marketing profession which include the setting up and having led the Malta Branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, the setting up and leading the Marketing Committee within the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and collaborates with the Malta Institute of Management. He is also a correspondent with the European Marketing Confederation.
